World Down Syndrome Congress 2009 - Abstracts & Proceedings
Accommodation will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is strongly recommended. Availability of the official accommodation cannot be guaranteed.
The principal venue is Dublin City University (DCU), located just 5 miles from the city centre and also approximately 5 miles from Dublin Airport. We have selected a range of accommodation for delegates at suitable hotel properties within easy reach of DCU. Many of the official hotels are also providing a limited transport service for participants to the Congress each day.

Dublin to host the “10th World Down Syndrome Congress” in August 2009
Major international event for policy makers, medics, people with Down Syndrome and their families
Nominations sought from across Ireland for participants in the first parliamentary style “International Synod Of People with Down Syndrome” to take place during the Congress
Tuesday 19th August 2008: Down Syndrome Ireland today announced that Ireland has been chosen to host the prestigious “10th World Down Syndrome Congress” in August 2009. The event will run across four days from the 19th to the 22nd of August next year and is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates from across the globe. The theme of the Congress is “Lifelong Living and Learning” and it will take place in the Helix and DCU, with a State Reception to be held at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
